Dear Martial Arts Family and Friends,On April 27, 2007 my oldest son Damion passed away suddenly. Losing Damion has been extremly heart breaking and the greatest pain I have yet to expeirence in my lifetime. Also on July 4th, 2007 my girlfriend Tamara lost her sister, in conjunction to these two tragidies I have had several surgeries on my knee. This has put a huge strain on us financially and emotionally to say the least. I share this news with you so that you are aware of and understand why I was not in attendance at any camps in 2007. The loss of Damion also showed me the true colors of the SDS/JKDA leadership and is one of the resaons why I resigned from the organization. Now I am doing better, getting back in shape and teaching again. So, I changed my Organization to THE Jeet Kune Do Federation, since its creation it has been really good for us, and we have high expectations for the future, as we take JKDF to the next level. JKDF is starting a new era as we step out of the shadows of the past and create our own organization to bring one of the absolute best Jeet Kune Do training platforms available to the U.S. and around the world! So far we have Charter schools in Texas, Oklahoma and North Carolina and are growing fast, if you would like to be in association with a group instead of "under" one, please feel free to contact us. You can contact my Senior Instructor/webmaster and my Chief of Operations for the Federation Sifu Cagle for more information. Sifu Cagle can handle whatever needs you may have and is in direct contact with me on a regular basis. Please feel free to call me, God Bless, Sincerly, Shihan Mitch |
Randall was with me for around 15 years at my Decatur Kwoon, he didn't smoke, drink, do drugs or even say a bad word out of his mouth. He is a 1st Black Sash he could have gone higher but his job at the railroad kept him away a lot. But he was a great student and a great friend.
His loss to the Federation and me can never be filled, he was like a son to me. He was born Nov. 20,1970 and we lost him Sept. 26, 2010, to a tragic motorcycle accident a oil field tanker pulled out in front of him on a back black top 2 lane county rd, the truck driver said he just didn't see him. He was also an excellent carpenter and builder, he built his out home in Runaway Bay. He was the grizzly Adams of the Bridwell family, taming every type of wild animal he could find. He just had a way animals. He once had a 100 rattle snakes in his 2 car garage in cages of course but he could catch them and never got bit. He was a great outdoors man, and loved nature. He is with our Lord now and will be GREATLY missed.
-Sijo Mitch.
